Honda has unveiled a first camouflage image of its all-new 2022 Honda Civic Type R which will soon begin testing at the famous Nürburgring circuit in Germany.
The automaker hasn't offered more details on the new Civic Type R other than promising that it will be the most powerful and capable Type R yet, and that it will be unveiled this year.
The current Civic Type R features a powerful 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that develops 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The next one can be expected to perform even better with better handling, even more phenomenal acceleration and an even more dynamic driving behaviour.
We can also see from the Honda image that the Type R will be based on the new design of the redesigned 2022 Civic. The latter offers an all-new interior, sportier styling, even more powerful and fuel-efficient engines and improved safety technologies. The next-gen Civic is better than ever and the new Civic Type R will surely be as well.
