The Honda Civic sedan has already made its debut and on October 1st, it's the hatchback's turn to make its debut. In anticipation of its arrival on the market, Honda Canada has announced the prices of the various models that will be offered.
Let's take a look at them.
First of all, the Civic Hatchback will be available in three trim levels: LX, Sport and Sport Touring. In all cases, the model can be served with a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission.
Mechanically, the LX model is served by a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine (158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque). The other two models get the more powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque).
For pricing, the LX model is priced at $28,000. The Sport version is priced at $31,500, while the Touring variant is $35,000. Note that there is no price difference with respect to the transmission.
A fee of $1,700 must be added to cover shipping and preparation.
Three well-equipped models
In terms of equipment, the LX version gets the basics: heated seats, Apple CarPlay and Android auto apps, LED headlights, 60-40 split-folding rear seats, push-button start, and a seven-inch screen for the multimedia system.
The Sport model adds 18-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, sport pedals, an eight-speaker audio system and Sport-specific seats.
