2022 Honda Civic Si Revealed with improved performance throughout

The all new 2022 Honda Civic Si was unveiled this week with a brand new design, improve performance, better handling, and everything that has made it successful so far with a range of other improvements. The Honda Civic Si has always stood out as a performance compact sedan that is accessible and it delivers a lot of value when it comes to sportiness.  The all-new 2022 Honda Civic Si is everything buyers want out of this model and more.

The new Honda Civic Si is a vehicle that is designed for enthusiasts. It is powered by a 1.5 L turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque. At first glance this may appear to be less than what the previous Honda Civic Si offered, but Honda engineers have made the torque curve larger which means that you get more power across the entire power band.  The 2022 Honda Civic Si delivers its torque starting at 1,800 rpm, which is 300 rpm sooner than the previous Honda Civic Si.  That means that the performance comes on sooner and is available longer.

Paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox, the 2022 Honda Civic Si also gets a new rev-matching system taken from the Honda Civic Type R.  There are three driving modes including a new Individual mode which provides personalized settings for the steering feel, engine mapping, and interior parameters.

2022 Honda Civic Si gets better handling too

The new 2022 Honda Civic Si isn't just more powerful, it also features better handling.  The suspension has been reworked and the Civic Si is a lot more rigid across-the-board than the outgoing model. The suspension and shock absorbers are firmer, as is the torsion bar linked to the steering system which is 60% more rigid.  The 2022 Honda Civic also features larger brakes and it rides on 18-inch wheels.

Inside, the sportiest Honda Civic also offers a more modern and luxurious interior complete with a 9-inch centre touch screen as well as a 10-inch digital instrument cluster. A premium Bose Centerpoint audio system as well as Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto are just some of the new features found in the 2022 Honda Civic Si.  Give us a call today to learn more.
