The iconic Honda Civic returns in 2020 with updated exterior and interior styling, technology, and improved drivetrain options. A best-selling car across the globe, it is available in five trims for the model year: LE, Sport, EX, EX-L and Sport Touring.
Crafted exterior revisions create a sportier 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback
Exterior refinements improve several areas. The lower bumper fog light housings receive revised styling and now include a body-colour crossbar. Updates to the grille include a redesign of the Honda-signature “wing” crossbar that leads to sportier headlights that feature a blackout highlight. The Sport Touring trim now has improved LED headlights that cover a wider and longer area. The rear includes descended bumper openings that match the front bumper.
The EX trims and above include heated and powered side mirrors, one-touch power moonroof with tilt, and variable intermittent windshield wipers.
Turbocharged power propels the 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback everywhere
All trims include a turbocharged 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that produces 174 hp and 162 lb-ft of accelerating torque. The Sport Touring bumps both up to 180 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque.
If you want a more dynamic feel, the Sport and Sport Touring models have an available six-speed manual transmission with dual-mode paddle shifters. All other trims include a Continuously Variable Transmission that offers a full range of gear ratios that contribute to increase efficiency and performance.
Eco Assist, Hill Start Assist, and Direct Ignition System with Immobilizer are standard on all models.
The interiors of each trim offer slight differences in the dashboard patterns, with the Sport trims receiving a unique pattern that fits with models’ racing theme, and the higher levels with a brushed black pattern. The EX-L’s 8-way power driver’s seat will find that right position, and its leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob add decorative luxury. All hatchback owners benefit from increased insulation, keeping a quiet environment.
The EX, EX-L and Sport Touring trims receive a boost to connectivity and technology that began with MY19 changes that included the Honda Sensing safety suite and other driver-assistive systems.
