The popular SUV from Honda is completely redesigned and offers much more than its predecessors. The 2023 Honda Pilot goes on sale in mid-December, and five well-equipped trim levels will be available, including the all-new Pilot TrailSport. The base trim and exceptionally well-equipped Pilot Sport has an MSRP of $50,650. Let's quickly go over the pricing and trim options.
What's New for the 2023 Model Year?
The fourth-generation Honda Pilot is completely redesigned for the 2023 model year. It's now the largest and most powerful SUV ever offered by the automaker. The new model features rugged new styling, more passenger and cargo space than ever before, and improved off-road capability. It's also available with an updated and more powerful V6 engine.
Trim Levels
The 2023 Honda Pilot is available in five trim levels: Sport ($50,650), EX-L ($53,550), TrailSport ($56,450), Touring ($59,750), and Black Edition ($62,700). Standard equipment on the Sport includes 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, tri-zone automatic climate control, partial digital instrumentation, Honda's Sensing suite of driver assistance and safety features, and a new 7.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Also, the new-for-2023 Pilot TrailSport is the most rugged Honda SUV ever. The addition of this version to the Pilot lineup provides drivers with increased capability when driving on rougher terrain, including an upgraded suspension system, steel skid plates, and expanded all-wheel drive capabilities. The new Honda SUV also comes equipped with all-terrain tires, a feature that is exclusive to the TrailSport and a first for a Pilot. In addition, it features a new and trim-exclusive Diffused Sky Pearl blue paint colour and orange contrast stitching in the cabin. The headrests are also embroidered with the TrailSport logo.
Better in Every Way
Furthermore, the redesigned Pilot introduces the second generation of Honda's i-VTM4 all-wheel drive system. This system is designed to optimize traction, stability, and performance in any road condition. It has a mode selector that allows drivers to switch between Intelligent Traction Management modes such as Normal, Econ, and Snow, plus new Sport and Tow modes.
Thanks to the standard revised and improved Honda Sensing suite, the Pilot is one of the safest midsize SUVs available. This system includes a suite of driver-assist technologies, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and traffic jam assist.
“The all-new Honda Pilot represents a new beginning for ruggedness and capability in the midsize three-row SUV class,” said Steve Hui, Assistant Vice President, Honda Canada. “We are incredibly excited to introduce this vehicle to our product lineup and are confident the Pilot will set the benchmark in its segment for Canadian customers.”
